Students Make a Big Splash at the Senior Center
Five RY students enjoyed a little time with a group of senior citizens at the Montague Senior Center for their monthly "Coffee and Conversation" get together. Students arrived with homemade cake, brownies and cookies in tow and spent about an hour getting to know some new friends. Click below to see what they thought about their trip.

Yesterday was so much fun! We had a great time with the Seniors, the conersation was great, and the food was as well. We felt great being there and talking to them about our lives. They were very welcoming and we cannot wait to go back!

I can't imagine how happy you made the seniors you visited with. What a great way to give back to the communiry! I can't wait to hear more about your visits in the future. I am so proud of the work you are doing....Mr. K
ReplyDeleteOne of the coolest people I ever met wasx Mrs. Quinn. She lived by herself in a neighborhood near my high school. Her son found time to visit once and week and she rarely saw anyone else. One day I was walking and she and I made some small talk about the weather and soon became fast friends. She was 89, I was 15 and she taught me more than most other people I've met. I'm thrilled you can have a similar experience and share with some local folks.
