A Very Big Week
Last week was a very big week for both RY classes. First, many students took a field trip to Pumpkin Fest in Keene, NH and had a great night listening to live music, looking at some fabulous pumpkins and eating great food. Second, students volunteered to make pies for the Franklin Area Survival Center's Thanksgiving food give-away and have already peeled 3 cases of apples in anticipation. They also were interviewed by the Montague Reporter, and a very nice story about them appeared in Friday's edition. Also, Don from MCTV began filming for a short documentary about the class and will do more filming today. Read the students' comments below about these events!

Going to Keene was pretty fun. the food was good and the pumpkins looks magnificent. I love pumpkin fest. i went last year and i have to say going to the actual fest is funner than the set up but it doesnt matter being with mrs batchelor and crew is fun. usually at the end of pumpkin fest all the pumpkins that havent been claimed get smashed in the streets and then late at night a plow comes and cleans the street. Peeling apples is cool too. It feels good doing things like this for those less fortunate.

Pumpkin fest was a blast, it was not very cold, and we had some good food, and where entertained by a man playing a cow's jaw bone with a butter knife. It was awesome, the stores where really cute, and the pumpkins where awesome. I had so much fun. I am glad I went and I hope to go next year as well.
